Four-body, massive, ?bassine?, the band and bezels with fomal decoration, cover with black champlevé enamelled Roman numerals on border of the dial aperture, back with an escutcheon and further foliage decoration over a florally engraved ground. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Silver with Roman numerals, fully decorated with engraved and gold cast foliage ?grippé? decoration. Blued steel ?tulip? hands.M. 14???, gilt brass, 15 jewels, English pointed tooth lateral lever escapement, plain gold three-arm balance, flat balance spring.Baume & Co. trademark punched on the case, signed on the dial.Diam. 36 mm

Riego was a Spanish watch retailer working in London, specialised in the trade of watches for the Spanish or the South American markets.Almost identical to the previous lot, the serial number of this watch is only two digits later and the case carries the following number; they were certainly part of the same series.
