Notes

Although it is fitted with a movement which may have been produced in the workshop of Raguet, the son-in-law and successor of Jean-Antoine Lépine, this watch differs from the watches made by Lépine by its case, which is of a different style, and above all by the fact that the massive polished steel hammers, obviously intended to strike directly on the case as on regular watches made in the workshop of Lépine, are here striking on gongs.
