Notes

An almost identical harp, carrying the signature of François Nicole, was sold by Antiquorum on November 13, 1999 in The Art of Horology in Geneva, lot 79.In the period this harp was made, François Nicole, Henry Capt and Piguet & Meylan were producing such types of musical objects of vertu in Geneva. This musical movement with pin-barrel and stacked steel tuned teeth could also have been made by Henry Capt.
