Powder blue flinqué enamelled with small painted floral decoration, designed as a cheval glass supported by two silver gilt griffins, fighting with serpents, the matching base standing on four feet. D. Oval silver, frosted and gilt with Arabic numerals, the centre decorated with a framed basket of flowers. Blued steel ?cathédrales? hands. M. 18???, Octava Watch Co., nickel plated, ?fausses côtes? decoration, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance sping.Signed on the base and the dial.Dim. 19 x 20 x 8 cm.

M. A. PlojouxWas established 30, Rue du Rhône in Geneva. He was a watchmaker of high precision, specialised in complication watches and jewellery. He received two awards at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1878, won a gold medal in 1880 and also took part in the Geneva National Exhibition in 1896.
