C. the hinged cover painted with a mythological scene of a soldier and three maidens in a country settings depicting Achilles leaving for the Trojan War and parting with the daughters of Lycomedes. The lamenting one being Deimadeya with whom Achilles had a son Neoptolemus, a pivotal figure in the war according to prophecy. A white champlevé border within a golden frame. Champlevé azure sides and a bottom with the same type of borders.Dim. 95 x 48 x 15 mm
