Le Roi et Fils, France, made for Luigi Luraschi, circa 1820.Fine and unusual, 18K rose gold three-train, petite et grande sonnerie clockwatch, quarter-hour repeating watch with visible striking mechanism and special escapement.

C. four body, 'Empire', back cover and band engine turned, small slide at 1 o'clock on the band to block or allow the repeating, hinged gold cuvette. D. white enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute marks, blued-steel Breguet hands. M. 23''', full-plate, fire-gilded, ruby duplex escapement, gold, three-arm balance, blued steel balance spring with 5 1/4 coils, brass escape wheel, lever for change from petite to grande sonnerie extending into the case at 1 o'clock, 'striking/silence' lever at 10 o'lock, repeating train from the same barrel as striking, striking mechanism mounted on the back plate allowing viewing the action of striking as well as repeating, striking on gongs, repeating activated by pressing a button in the pendant.Signed on the dial by Le Roi, on dial and movement by Luraschi, case stamped 'FHM 3234 KIR' in typical for French casemakers manner.Diam. 58 mm.
