Boutte, Swiss, probably Geneva, for the Imperial Russian market, circa 1890.Fine and interesting, 14K rose gold hunting cased, double-face keyless calendar watch.
C. three body, 'Bassine étui', engine turned, front centered with a monogram 'CD' in a cartouche. Both spring-loaded covers opened by pushing the crown with a device preventing opening the bottom cover. D. front: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minutes, subsidiary seconds, gold 'Louis XV' hands. Back: white enamel ring calibrated outside for 31 days, inside for days of the week in Cyrillic alphabet, long 'Spade' gold hand for date, gold crescent hand for days. M. 20''', nickel bar calbre, 'fausses côtes' decoration, straight line counterpoised lever escapement, bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, 15 jewels, escape wheel with end-stone jewel in gold plate, index regulator, lever-set.Diam. 54 mm
