W.G. Shoof, 99 St. John Road, Clerkenwell, London, No. 6070, with London hallmarks for 1885.Very fine, 18K gold hunting cased, moon phase, astronomical, keyless minute repeating, Grande and Petite Sonnerie, striking clock watch with perpetual calendar, chronograph and 60 minutes recorder.
C. four body, solid, 'bassine et filets', polished, the cover engraved with a crest, hinged gold cuvette. D. white enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minutes and chronograph rings, subsidiary dials for days of the week, months of the leap year cycle, with outer minutes register, the dates and subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture, its age on the border. 'Spade' blued steel hands. M. 19''', gilt-brass three-quarter plate, partly Swiss made, double train with differential windinggoing train fully jeweled in screwed settings, English pointed tooth lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, free sprung blued-steel balance spring with outer terminal curve. Repeating and striking on gongs with slide in the band, Grande/Petite Sonnerie/Silent selection levers on the bezel's border. Chronograph button in the band.Back plate signed.Diam. 59 mm.
