C. four body, 'demi-bassine', front cover with finely painted portraits of two horses over translucent blue enamel with 'basket pattern' engine-turning, within a round white opaque and translucent dark blue frame, back cover with painted horse-shoe intertwined with laurel leaves, suggesting the champion origin of the horses, over the same background and frame as front, gold hinged cuvette, bow and crown chased with scrollings. D. matte-gilded, Arabic numerals, outer 24-hour scale in Arabic red nmerals, subsidiary seconds, 'Cathedrale hands'. M. 18''', matte-gilded, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued-steel Breguet balance spring, jeweled to the center (17 jewels), center jewel in gold screwed châton.Dial and case signed, stamped with Borel's trademark on the movement.Diam. 49 mm.
