Holy Frères, movement by Record Watch Co. S.A., Tramelan, Swiss, patent No. 27961, registered onApril 9, 1903 by Giovanni Sgherlino, Turin, retailed by Wilhelm Weber, Hersfeld, circa 1920.Fine and unusual, silver keyless Sector Watch with unusual decoration, probably that of Lawrence of Arabia.

C. four body, solid by Holy Frères, in the form of a fan, back with low relief decoration depicting an Arab on a horse in a posture as if chasing after something, camels, palm and sunset in the background. Hinged silver cuvette. D. matte silver with hour Arabic sector from 0 to 12 and outer from 12 to 24 with minute divisions. 'Spade' blued steel hands. M. 34 x 48.5 mm, shaped gilt brass, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, 15 jwels.Dial signed by the retailer, back signed by Holy Frères, movement signed Record Watch Co.Dim. 60 x 71 mm.

This watch is unusual because of the atypical back decoration and 24-hour sector scale. In most of the sector watches the decoration depicts St. George slaying the dragon and the dial is just with 12-hour divisions and 60-minute scale.
