C. Rectangular with two panels that flip open by pressing the spring-loaded sides of the case to display the movement and the dial, which can be tilted and held by the panels, making it a desk clock. The entire case is covered with black lacquer and painted in Chinese style showing a plant near a stream. D. Matted silver with applied gold Arabic numerals. Gold Breguet hands. M. 8??? cal 816, rhodium plated, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, flat balancepring, index regulator.Signed Tavannes on dial, case, and movement, and 'Dunhill' on the dial.Dim. 46x34 mm.
