Notes

Moiré pattern engine-turning (in this case parallel waves with sharp breaks, skipping one out of every six) creates the illusion of a curtain behind which there is something magical.Vaucher Frères are best known for their watches for the Chinese market. This lot shows that they were capable of manufacturing high quality watches for the Western market as well.
