Plojoux, Genève, No. 4588, circa 1900.Very fine 18K gold, hunting-cased, 'triple complication', astronomical, keyless, minute repeating watch with phases of the moon, perpetual calendar and split-seconds chronograph with 30-minute instantaneous recorder.

Four-body, massive, 'bassine', polished, monogrammed front cover, front cover stamped by the casemaker 'AF&CE' in a rectangle, gold cuvette inscribed: Chronomètre, Répétition à minutes, Chronographe et Rattrapante, Compteur de minutes, Double Quantième, Calendrier perpetuel, Phases de lune. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, subsidiary seconds and minute register, four subsidiary sunk dials for days of the week, days of the month, months of the fur year leap cycle concentric with the 30-minute register and subsidiary seconds with inner phases of the moon aperture. Gold 'spade' hands. M. 19???, nickel, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band, chronograph mounted on the back of the movement, lever-set with gold outer piece.Signed on the dial case and movement. Diam. 56 mm.
