Godfrie Poy, London, made for the English market, circa 1760.Very fine silver pair-cased, quarter repeating coach watch with alarm.

C. Outer: leather covered, bezels with applied small silver rosettes. Inner: double-body, Louis XV, the bezel pierced and chased with foliage, the back pierced and chased with birds and with floral decoration. D. Silver champlevé with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring with arched divisions, inner revolving alarm-setting disc. Blued-steel 'poker and beetle' hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with circular column pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balanceflat balance spring, fine English type gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with a mask and foliage. Pull wind repeating and alarm trains with gilded brass fixed barrels, striking on a bell, silver dust-cap.Signed on the dial, movement and dust-cap.Diam. 95 mm.
