Chapon & Ligier à Genève, circa 1820.Fine and unusual 18K gold three-train, petite et grande sonnerie clock-watch, quarter-hour repeating watch with four square gongs and special escapement.

C. Four-body, 'bassine', polished with reeded band, hinged fire-gilded cuvette. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute ring, blued-steel Breguet hands. M. 23???, full-plate, fire-gilded, 'virgule' escapement, gold three-arm balance, lever for change from petite to grande sonnerie extending to the case at 3 o?clock, 'striking/silence' lever at 4 o?clock, independent repeater train striking on its own two square gongs, activated by pressing the pendant.Signed on cuvette, case stamped 'P3C' in oval.Diam. 58.5 mm.
