Mellerio dits MellerJewellers since 1613, they worked for the Court at Versailles and Marie-Antoinette during the 18th century. Mellerio is a member of "La Haute Joaillerie De France" and is the oldest established company in the "Comité Colbert". Today, the firm is managed by the fourteenth generation of the family.The prototype of this watch was sold by Antiquorum, in L'Art de l'Horlogerie en France du XVIe au XXe siècle, Geneva auction, on November 14, 1993, lot 293.
