Antique Natural Pearl and Diamond Brooch, circa 1865
Decorated with 3 rosettes, each centering a natural pearl surrounded by old mine-cut diamonds separated by diamond-set trefoil designs, the center rosette suspending 3 large old mine-cut diamonds in a free-hanging frame of small pearls and diamonds, with a free-hanging, old mine- and rose-cut diamond accented bow designed drop on either side, each terminating with a pear-shaped pearl drop decorated at the top with rose-cut diamonds, having a total weight of approx. 11.50 cts. for all the diamond(3 small rose-cut diamonds are missing); the central portion of the brooch is detachable so that it can be worn as a pendant (the fitted screw has been replaced), mounted in silver and silver-topped 18K yellow gold.Accompanied by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) report # 11227022 stating that all the pearls are natural.
