Guinand, Fleurier, No. 27579, made for the Chinese market circa 1860. Very fine and rare gilt brass and painted on enamel, pearl-set 8-day going double barrel center-seconds watch with special movement and duplex escapement.
C. Three-body, ?Empire?, back finely painted on enamel with bouquet of flowers, pearl-set bezels, pendant, and bow, glazed cuvette hinged to the movement ring. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions with fifteen-minute/seconds Arabic markers. Blued steel ?spoon? hands. M. 48 mm (21???), gilt brass fully engraved Tixier ?Chinese? caliber, two free-standing barrels, ruby duplex escapement with ruby rest insert and steel impulse pallet, steel three-arm balance with blued-steel wings, flat balance spring.Signed on the movement.Diam. 57 mm.
