HG (possibly Henri Golay), Genève, No. 1343, circa 1850. Fine and rare 18K gold and enamel silk-lined purse fitted with a watch.

Three-body, hinged, both sides decorated with floral and foliate engraving on engine-turned background, the spring-loaded lid over the watch with translucent imperial blue enamel and gold roses, the inside fitted with three blue silk compartments. D. White enamel, radial Roman chapters, outer minute ring. Blued-steel ?Spade? hands.M. 21 x 33.5 mm., rectangular, gilt brass bridge caliber, 10 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt three-armbalance, flat balance-spring, index regulator with a pin protruding through to the dial side.Stamped HG, 1343 on the movement under the dial, numbered on the inside.Dim. 77 x 57 mm.
