C. Six-body, ?Empire?, both covers with translucent Imperial blue enamel over ?spinning? engine-turning, centers painted with a mandolin, musical score and roses, pearl-set bezels, gold hinged cuvette over glazed gold bezel for viewing the movement. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds. Gold ?Louis XV? hands. M. 31 mm, frosted gilt, 32 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band.
