Geneva, No. 112, circa 1830. Very fine 18K gold quarter-repeating two-train watch with music playing on the hour or at will.
C. four-body, "Empire", engine-turned, gilt hinged cuvette, bolt at 10 o'clock to activate the music, lever at 8 o'clock protruding from under the gilt hinged cuvette for music/silent* D. gold, champlevé, Arabic numerals in white enamel cartouch, outer enamel minute track, acanthus-leaf decoration between the numerals, engine-turned center. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 50 mm. (21'''), gilt brass, standing barrels, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance with flat balance spring, sur plateau musical movement,23 tuned vibrating blades acting on both sides of the pinned disc, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant.Case punched with casemaker's mark DM, disc numbered 112.Diam. 55 mm.
