Paul Jeannot, Genève, No. 526, made for the South American market, circa 1880. Very fine and heavy 18K gold and enamel, hunting-cased, keyless minute-repeating watch with provision for concealed miniature.
C. Six-body, ?bassine et filets?, front cover engraved in the center with grapes and leaves, initials in the center, back with a flower vase in black champlevé enamel, borders with foliage in gold and en suite enamel, bezels in geometrical pattern in en suite enamel, band chased and engraved in repeated pattern, gold hinged cuvette with bezel for a miniature, over gold glazed bezel for viewing the movement. D. Silver, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, center and the outermost in applied varicolored gold floral decoration, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel ?Spade? hands. M. 45 mm (20???), nickel, damascened, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with palladium Breguet balance spring.Signed on dial, case and movement.Diam. 57 mm.
