Lepine A Paris, No. 4321, dedicated on the dial: N.L.J. Terrien, premier Janvier, 1825. Very fine and extremely rare 18K gold, quarter-repeating 8-day going watch.

C. Four-body, by ?J.R.?, transition between ?Empire? and ?bassine et filets?, engine-turned, gilt hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, made by master dial maker Droz, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. 54 mm (24???), frosted gilt, standing barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold jeweled balance with flat balance spring, final version of Lepine?s repeating system, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant.Signed on the cuvette, dial signed N.L.J. Terrien, P(remi)er Janvier, 1825.Diam. 60 mm.
