C. Outer: two-body, polished, hallmarked 1777-78. Inner: two-body, ?bassine? with deep back, polished.D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers. Blued steel ?beetle and poker? hands. M. 36 mm, frosted gilt full-plate with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, cylinder escapement with brass escape wheel, steel balance with flat balance spring, single-footed cock with diamond endstone, gilt brass dust cap.
