J. Bte DuTertre a Paris, No. 2846, with Paris hallmarks for 1762-63. Very fine 20K gold à toc quarter-repeating watch with à tact option.
C. Two-body, ?Louis XV?, by master casemaker Xavier Gide, back decorated with applied varicolored harvest trophies against ?sunburst? engine-turning, bezels engine-turned and decorated with wavy lines. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 2 o?clock. Gold ?Louis XV? hands. M. 37 mm (17???), frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, steel balance with flat balance spring, continental cock, repeating on gold blocks fixed to the band by depressing the pendant, à tact option via gold pin protruding the bezel at 8 o?clock.Signed on dial and movement, case punched with date letter and maître Jean-Jacques Prevost marks (Oct 1, 1762-Oct 1, 1768).Diam. 34 mm.
