The Hunter Philippe Gros, Paris, No. 200, with Paris hallmarks for 1760-61. Very fine and rare 18K varicolored gold, diamond-set quarter-repeating à toc watch with à tact option.

Two-body, Louis XV, the back decorated with an applied varicolored gold scene depicting a hunter, his horse and a dog resting after a stag hunt, the whole against ?sunburst? engine-turning, bezels in applied multicolored floral pattern, diamond-set thumb piece, pushbutton at 8 o?clock for à tact option. D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers. Diamond-set ?Louis XV? hands. M. 38 mm, hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with flat balance spring, micrometrical potence adjustment, continental cock, repeating on gold blocks in the case by depressing the pendant.Signed on the movement.Diam. 45 mm.
