Swiss, made for the Chinese market, circa 1860. Very fine and extremely rare gilt brass and enamel, pearl and paste-set belt buckle fitted with center- seconds watch.

Oval, centered in the front with the watch, translucent Imperial blue enamel panel on each side, diamond and ruby color pastes around, pearl-set bezel and frame, back engraved with floral motives, two knobs for the belt, hinged circular cover housing the movement, glazed hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions with fifteen-minute/seconds Arabic markers. Gold ?Spoon? hands.M. 27 mm (12???), gilt brass ?Chinese? caliber, free-standing barrel, cylinder escapement, gold three-arm balance, flat balance spring.Dim. 77 x 60 mm.
