Lake Geneva Piguet & Meylan, No. 607, box by Georges Reymond, enamel attributed to Jean-Louis Richter, circa 1815. Very fine 18K gold and painted on enamel musical box, in original morocco fitted box.

Three-body, rectangular, engine-turned with edges in champlevé blue enamel alternating with stylized foliage, under the lid compartment with very finely painted on enamel scene depicting an extensive landscape overlooking Lake Geneva with a shepherd in the foreground, the city of Geneva, and the Salève and the Mont Blanc in the background. M. 53 x 33 mm, gilt brass, sur plateau pinned disc with 31 tuned vibrating blades set on both sides (15 on top, 16 on the other side) in a fan-shaped arrangement, pinion governor set in eccentric socket for tempo regulating, male winding key.Dim. 55 x 35 mm.Case punched with Piguet & Meylan and Georges Reymond?s master marks.
