The Valley of Chamonix Geneva, No. 1013, circa 1820. Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel, turquoise-set, musical vinaigrette. Accompanied by original morocco fitted case and original gold key.

C. Rectangular, four-body, the lid chased in scrolling and acanthus leaves and set with turquoises, side panels and base engine-turned, inside front lid with painted on enamel scene of the Chamonix valley, hinged pierced and engraved cover for the vinaigrette compartment. M. Rectangular, 30 x 23 mm, miniature sur plateau pinned disc with 17 teeth set on one side, pinion governor in eccentric socket for tempo adjustment.Compartment punched with partially legible maker’s mark M.B. & ...Dim. 32 x 25 mm.
