Attributable to F. Nicole, Geneva, No. 204, circa 1825 Very fine and possibly unique gold and enamel musical snuffbox playing three tunes.
C. Three-body, engine-turned, the lid centered by blue enamel basket of flowers, en suite borders and base, opening front lid reveals small compartment. M. 79 x 48 mm, pinned cylinder type with a sectional comb of 41 tuned vibrating blades in 21 sections of 2 each plus one additional one, four-arm fly worm-gear governor, ratchet-wheel and 9-lobed cam tune changing mechanism.Dim. 82 x 50 x 19 mm.
