Duluc, horloger de Mgr. Cte d?Artois, A Paris, circa 1785. Very fine 18K gold and enamel, pearl- and diamond-set pair-cased quarter-repeating á toc watch.
C. outer: two-body gilt brass, protective, glazed. Inner: two-body, back with translucent Imperial blue enamel over ?sunburst? engine-turning, diamond-set applied initials ?CMH?, pearl-set bezels. D. white enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute dot divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 2 o?clock. Gold ?beetle and poker? hands. M. 34 mm (15???), hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, micrometric potence adjustment, continental cock, repeating on gold blocks fixed to the case by depressing the pendant. Signed on the movement. Diam. 45 mm.
