Swiss, made for Hausmann & Co., Rome, circa 1910. Fine 18K gold hunting-cased, double-faced, moon phase astronomical watch with so-called independent perpetual calendar and moon phases.
C. Three-body, massive, "bassine", matte, the spring-loaded front cover with enameled initials ?CS?, inside front with dedication inscription. D. White enamel on the front with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds, large central moon phase aperture. Blued steel "spade" hands. Back: outermost days of the week on silvered ring, inner days of the month, small aperture for months with the number of corresponding days. Gilt ?Louis XV? hand. M. 42 mm (19???), frosted gilt, 16 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring.Signed on the dial.Diam. 53 mm.
