Maurice Ditisheim, La Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 2828. Produced circa 1895. Fine, hunting-cased, keyless, quarter-repeating, 18K pink gold watch with automaton Jacks.
C. Six-body, "bassine", engine-turned covers, polished band, gold hinged cuvette over glazed gold bezel to view the movement. D. Small off-white enamel, radial Roman numerals separated by gold paillons, outer gold paillon minute divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds, flanked by two knights repeating hours and quarters on bells, the whole on translucent Imperial blue enamel over engine-turning. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. Cal. 44 mm (20???), frosted gilt, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguetbalance-spring, repeating on gongs by activating slide onthe band.Case stamped with maker?s trademark registered on April4, 1892.Diam. 56 mm.
