The Cooper's Yard Swiss, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel quarter-repeating double-faced watch with automaton.
C. Two-body, glazed, polished with faceted bezels. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions with fifteen-minute Arabicmarkers, winding apertures for going train and automaton. Blued-steel Breguet hands. The reversEapplied gold and silver scene witha cooper working, his assistant hammering, a running fountain, over a finely painted on enamel ground depicting an extensive Alpinelake scene. M. 46.7 mm. (21''')frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flatbalance spring, double-footed simple cock.Diam. 54 mm.
