"Tableau à Musique" Attributed to Raingo Freres, Paris, musical movement attributed to A. Reuge & Cie, circa 1880. Fine eight day going, hour and half hour striking musical clock painting, with echo on the hour, and vespers at 5 o'clock, the music playing every hour or on demand.
C. Gilt wood framed oil on canvas, featuring Alpine scene, lake, mountains in the background, a young manplaying the mandolin, and a church with clock. D. Painted white with Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel hands. M.Square, 11 x 11 cm, brass with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, anchor escapement, pendulum with silk sus-pension. Striking on two gongs with count wheel on the back plate. Additional brass movement for the carillon with echo, striking firston one gong and last part on two gongs with its own two hammers, small cylinder musical movement.Dim. 73 x 87 cm.
