Longines, "Lindbergh", invented by Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh, US Pat. 1923305, launched in 1932. Very fine and very rare, small hour angle, stainless steel aviator's wristwatch with center-seconds and two crowns.
C. Three-body, polished, dedicated case back, revolving silver bezel with the enameled 15 degree graduations in black and blue Arabicnumerals, graduated rounded band, the crown at 2 o'clock activates the central revolving dial, lever at 6 o'clock for locking the revolv-ing bezel. D. Matte silver with enameled radial Roman numerals for the 12-hour indication, concentric, the 180 degrees in blue Arabicnumerals, at the center, revolving dial bearing the 60 seconds and 15 degrees in red Arabic numerals. Blued steel "Feuille" hands. M.11 1/4''', rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring.Dial, case, and movement signed. Diam. 33 mm. Height 10 mm.Engraved on the case back: "Presented to Lt J. Vandergucht by Navigation Class - Mar14 - 1941 - PropellerClub Havana".
