Courvoisier Freres, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 11008, circa 1830. Fine and interesting gilt bronze traveling clock with quarter-repeating and alarm, in original leather fitted box.
C. Rectangular, front chased with musical trophies and flowers, engine-turned bezel. D. Gilt brass, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, center chased with flowers. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Circular, 50 mm, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock, repeating on gongs by pulling a cord, separate pull-alarm movement striking on a bell.Dial.signed.Dim. 145 x 111 mm.
