The Swan Swiss, circa 1880. Very fine and amusing 18K gold and enamel, diamond, sapphire, and emerald-set swan-shaped brooch fitted with concealed watch in fitted leather box.

In the form of a swan swimming on sapphire-set waves, the diamond-set spring-loaded wing revealing the dial, winding apertures behind hinged back wing, enameled beak, emerald-set eyes, opening pushpiece in the tail, gold pin. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute gold paillon dotdivisions. Gold ?spade? hands. M. Oval 24 x 15 mm, frostedgilt, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance with flatbalance spring.Dim. 52 x 36 mm.
