Rectangular with molded corners, in predominately translucent azure enamel over engine turning painted with roses, top with champlevé enamel borders and aperture for the bird?s medallion which is painted on enamel depicting Alpine scene, engine turned base, dolphin-head feet. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold ?Louis XV? hands. M. 50 mm (22'''), frosted gilt, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with self-compensating flat balance spring, alarm on a gong. Singing bird movement: Rectangular, brass, going barrel and rectangular bellow, the revolving bird with moving wings, beak and tail, controlled by two cams mounted beneath the barrel wheel, gilt brass grill pierced and engraved with flowers and foliage.Dim. 100x70x 65 mm.
