Geneva, No. 3, circa 1875. Very fine and rare 18K gold, painted on enamel, rose cut diamond and pearl-set cruciform pendant watch with separate crowns for winding and hand setting.
C. Three-body, stepped, cruciform, the top outlined with black champleve enamel and set with pearls, oval sprunghinged cover over the dial set with a painted on enamel portrait of a female saint surrounded by rose cutdiamonds, release catch at the base of the upper crucifix, hinged back with bright cut border, fixed ring suspen-sionloop with movable tapered loop. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steelhands. M. 50 x 32 mm., frosted gilt, linear wheel train with cross-shaped wheel plate, linear wheel train, twocrowns, one for the winding and one for the hand setting, cylinder escapement, brass three-arm balance, bluedsteel flat spiral balance spring.Dim. 64 x 48 mm.
