Geneva, No. 1297, circa 1810. Fine and rare, gold, enamel and pearl-set musical snuff box set with a center-seconds watch. Accompanied by a gold and enamel key.
C. Three-body, overlaid with panels of translucent dark blue enamel over an engine turned ground, black and goldchamplevé enamel borders of stylized leaf and line motifs, hinged lid with circular pearl set bezel, hinged baseenclosing a compartment for snuff. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals and Arabic quarter minutemarkers, outer seconds divisions, mounted on a rectangular polished gold plate with dark blue champleve enameldecoration of flowers and foliage within a stylized border. M. 78 x 40 mm., sur plateau, the watch train withstanding barrel and male key fitting, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, regulator arm protrudingthrough a slot to the side of the dial, independantly activated musical movement with standing barrel, sectionalcomb of 20 teeth playing against each side of the pinned disc. Gold and enamel male key.Numbered on the reverse of the dial mask, movement and case. The inside of the case scratched "Bald".Dim. 82 x 43 x 17 mm.
