J. M. Badollet & Cie, Geneve, No. 65504, circa 1900. Very fine and rare 18K pink gold, astronomical, hunting-cased, minute-repeating keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar, split-second chronograph, and phases and age of the moon.

White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions and Arabic five seconds numerals,sunk subsidiary four year dial divided into four sectors each with month indications from January-December, sunk subsidiary date and day of the week dials, seconds with age of the moon, aperture for phasesof the moon, setting levers in the bezel. Blued steel spade hands, gold chronograph and subsidiary hands.M. 41 mm (17.5'''), rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" and "moiré" decoration, straight line lever escapement,bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, steel chronograph workactivated by two buttons in the band, repeating with two hammers on two gongs via activating slide in the band.Case signed and numbered.Diam. 56 mm.

J.M. Badollet & Cie Horologists and makers of watch cases, the company was registered on November 1, 1880, under the number 43. They received the 1st prize at the Observatory contest for chronometry in 1872 (with 267.9 points out of 350); 1873 (with 229 points out of 350); and in 1874 (with 264 points out of 350); and in 1874-75 (with 213 points out of 350).
