Attributable to C.H. Meylan, Brassus, No. 2152, circa 1880. Very fine 18K gold, keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, outerminute track, outermost chronograph track divided into fifths with red Arabic five minute/second markers, sub-sidiarysunk seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 42 mm. (19'''), rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration,24 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet bal-ancespring. Repeating on gongs via slide in the band.Diam. 54 mm.
