C. Outer: two-body with scalloped edges, glazed back, pierced bezels in red and pale green champleve enamelwith rosebud decoration. Middle: two-body with scalloped edges, back with painted scene of galleons at war,translucent red border, pierced bezels with decoration matching the outer case. Inner: two-body, pierced foliateband decorated with white champlevé enamel intersected with painted enamel flowerhead roundels and atrophy, back painted with a floral spray on a translucent red guilloché ground, pale green, gold and white enamelbezel. D. White enamel with Islamic hour numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Islamic markers.Gold ?beetle and poker? hands. M. 33 mm., gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, vergeescapement, pierced and engraved gilt brass cock, striking with two hammers on a bell. Gilt brass dust cap.Signed on the dial and backplate.Diam. 55 mm.
