Austria, probably Vienna. Made circa 1780. Fine brass miniature striking lantern table clock.

C. Rectangular, the front with engraved trellis pattern decora-tion,hinged and glazed side doors similarly decorated, raised onturned feet and a further shaped plinth, the top with four turnedfinials, bell mounted above with a further finial. D. Whiteenamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabicfive minute numerals. Pierced gilt hands. M. Four-post steelframe, three linear brass wheel-plates, spring barrels, tic-tacescapement, pendulum with flat circular brass bob, the strikingtrain with count-wheel arranged behind the going train, strikingthe hours and half-hours with a single hammer.Dim. 170 x 56 x 58 mm.
