Mathey-Tissot & Co., Genève, No. 7205, case No. 12210, circa 1925. Very fine and rare minute repeating silver gilt, enamel and hardstone 8-day Art Deco desk clock with the original gold tooled leather covered case.

C. Rectangular, decorated overall with panels of enamel to imitate jade and orange, black and gold stripes, raisedon a green hardstone base. Hinged door. D. Rectangular, ivorine, black painted Arabic numerals, outer minute divi-sions,the center painted with a scene of a stag and a deer by a river in a forest. Blued steel hands. M. Rectangular,8-day, rhodium plated, 11 jewels, platform straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balancewith three adjustments, index regulator, repeating on two gongs mounted on the backplate by depressing thehardstone set button. Case and movement signed.Dim. 80 x 49 x 34 mm.
