J. & E. Frankel, La Chaux de Fonds = Morteau, late 19th century. Fine brass and steel hand lathe. Crank handle turning a large wheel with helical teeth, tool bed with adjustable slides, horizontal and forward/reverse crank-handle adjustments, brass face plate with three sprung screw-adjusted vices, adjustable steel tool rest, mounted on a hardwood base. Signed on a plaque applied to the base. Dim. 34 x 23.5 x 28 cm. Cleaned and varnished
