C. Four body, massive, "pommes et filets " , polished, the cover engraved with the coat of arms of the Brackenbury Family, with the Motto: Sans Reculer ]amain. Hinged gold cuvette with dedication: This gold watch was presented together with a Cheque for over £6,500 and a Canteen of Silver, to Henry Britten Brackenbury M. R. C. S. - L. R. C. P. by his fellow practitioners 16th October 1924. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade " hands. M. 17"', frosted and gilt, three-quarter plate with the going barrel passing through the back plate, English lateral lever escapement with pointed tooth escape wheel, cut bimetallic balance with diamond end-stone, free sprung blued steel balance spring with terminal curve. Minute repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 53 mm.
