Three body, Empire, the band decorated with midblue champleve enamel set with serpentine pattern of split-pearls and scarlet enamel pellets, the bezels, pendant and bow similarly split-pearl set, the back inset with a panel enamelled with young children dancing to a mandolin player with two ladies as onlookers. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman hour numerals, outer minute ring and subsidiary seconds at 6 o 'clock. Polished gold spoon pattern hands. M. Gilt brass, Chinese calibre fully engraved with a foliage decoration, free standing barrel, single wheel duplex escapement with brass escape wheel and three-arm balance with wedge shaped and partly blued-steel weights, flat balance spring and regulator. Signed on the movement. Diam. 59 mm.
