In the chinoiserie style, designed from carved jade with a recessed, square-shaped watch having a ruby and diamond border with a cabochon-cut ruby stem and Chinese numerals, attached to an elaborate, geometrically shaped, ruby- and diamond-set bail; a similarly designed, handmade chain was later added, measuring approx. 26 1/2 inches (68 cm).
